If you are looking for the perfect gift for a globetrotting kid or traveling toddler, the Little Passports monthly adventure subscription makes for an excellent choice. Little Passports offers three different subscription themes to choose from, including an Early Explorers package (3-5 year olds), the USA Edition (7-12 year olds) and the World Edition (6-10 years). Opting to try out the World Edition, I can honestly say that my kids have really loved receiving the monthly deliveries (almost as much as I have enjoyed receiving something in the mail that is not a bill).
How Little Passports Global Adventure Subscription Works
Shortly after signing up for a Little Passports subscription, a package will arrive that includes a little suitcase to store all the travel goodies in, a world map, an introductory story about the characters whose adventure is about to begin (Sofia and Sam), a passport, a postcard, stickers, a luggage tag, a little activity book and more. Subsequent monthly packages feature destination specific goodies including a special souvenir. My kids were particularly enamored by the amethyst included with the Brazil package.
Our Review of the Little Passports Monthly Subscription Package
When I asked my kids what they thought of the World Explorer subscription (they are 8 and 11), they said it was “fun” and would be perfect for a child in grades (1-3), which is pretty much consistent with the recommended age range of 6-10 years. It makes a great gift for a special child in your life on whom you would like to bestow a love of travel. As a parent, I especially appreciated the fact that the subscription encourages learning and conversation about the world. Little Passports seems to have also put some special thought into the souvenir included in each monthly package. The package about Japan, for instance, came with origami and a sushi shaped eraser.
