Festive Afternoon Tea in Vancouver
Personally, I think it is always a great time to enjoy a fancy afternoon tea in Vancouver. Current world circumstances, however, have made this rather decadent experience seem more enticing than ever!
While there are at least half a dozen charming establishments offering afternoon tea in Vancouver, the 3 featured in this post are all conveniently located within the downtown core.
1. H Tasting Lounge – Westin Bayshore
1601 Bayshore Drive – (604) 691-6962
When you step into the beautiful Art Deco H Tasting Lounge at The Westin Bayshore, you can’t help but feel like you are a world away! This lovely establishment offers an afternoon tea menu on weekends that changes with the seasons for $55 per person.
The little bites might include: truffle egg salad pinwheels; matcha dacquoise; quiche lorraine; new york cheesecake with raspberry gelee, and more. What is even more impressive, however, is the gorgeous presentation. Take a peek below!

Note: While H Tasting Lounge does not offer a children’s tea menu, they do have several kids’ options on their regular menu (grilled cheese, spaghetti bolognese and more).
2. Fairmont Vancouver Afternoon Tea
900 West Georgia – (604) 662-1900
Often winning accolades for the best afternoon tea in Vancouver, the tea service at the Fairmont’s beautiful Notch 8 restaurant feels very much like a royal affair.
Along with a wide selection of teas (Goddess Oolong, Joie de Provence…how to choose?), their Afternoon Tea Menu includes freshly baked buttermilk and cranberry scones, a selection of delectable tea sandwiches (asparagus, egg, prime rib and smoked salmon), a beautiful macaron, tiny cakes and so much more!
The afternoon tea service at the Fairmont Vancouver is available on weekends with seatings at 12pm and 2pm ($69 for adults, $34.50 for children 12 and under).

3. Ladurée Tea Salon
1141 Robson Street – (604) 336-3030
Step through those pretty tea salon doors and you might actually imagine you are in France – if only for an hour or so.
The Ladurée tea menu includes a duo of macarons, savory tartlettes, a mini croissant selection, a financier, a madeleine, Ladurée tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Champagne or a Ladurée rosé cocktail can be added for $10.
Ladureé’s beautiful tea service is available every day (although 48 advance notice and a $30 deposit is required). For more information and reservations, please see Ladurée Vancouver. You may also want to swing by their adorable popup at Holt Renfrew.
